Isnt david banner somewhat copying saigon soon to be released album the greatest story never told which would be a better album than this ... but talking bout the greatest story ever told ... the title has nothing to do with its content ... i would say this is a average album , more club music type... if thats what u enjoy

Not The Greatest Story Every Told, But A Good One Nonetheless July 17, 2008 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
I almost didn't buy this album after reading the reviewer who gave this album two stars. I'm glad I was hard headed. Most of the tracks have a nice beat, and the lyrical content is solid. Banner has some enlightening words on a few tracks, but still manages to have several certified bangers. My favorite tracks are, "So Long," "Get Like Me," "9mm," "Suicide Doors," "KO," and "Ball With Me." Pick it up, you won't be disappointed.

First off this album is good.I read the other reviews and almost didn't get the cd and would've made a mistake listening to the 30sec soundbites when plenty of the songs beats and flow change midway in the song. There is a blend of content on this album: awakening consciousness and activism, a couple of stories, true gutter ganster s..., thug love music, and autobiographical lyrics. His beats are crucial and change often within one song showing quality and impeccable timing when his lyrics and flow change to complement at that exact moment the beat changes. Plenty of times I had to check the cd to see if it was still David Banner rapping or if it was someone else.I might go through and try and do a song by song later but one funny song is the BAN song. You have to watch Boondocks to get it.His content is country meaning to the point very few analogies and yet musical b/c there's something about the south that makes all its rappers hear the beat first and then rap instead of rapping first and then adding a beat or a beat starting and then with a flow you already had in your head you decide to use.
