Rock On Jeff September 13, 2008 Mess of Blues
This album is loud, raw and rough. In your face road house blues.
Rest in peace, Jeff
Jeff Healey we miss you September 11, 2008 The late Jeff Healey was an awesome guitar player with a unique technique and an expressive emotional sound. This brave man died too young, rip !
Jeff Healy will be missed. September 8, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful

Good, but not great. August 31, 2008 2 out of 5 found this review helpful
I love Jeff Healey but this album has a few clunkers. I'd have left off Jambalaya, The Weight, and particularly, Like a Hurricane. The music's fine, but his vocal is flat and lifeless. Healey was a good singer but his voice isn't suited to this song (same with The Weight). Healey's big strength was slow blues, like ZZ Top's Blue Jean Blues, a tune that blew away the Top version. A few more of these on this record would have been really nice. However, as usual his guitar work is stellar, and he will be sorely missed I just wish he'd gone out with more of a statement.
Terrific Return to the Blues One Last Time August 17, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I was very sad when I read Jeff Healy had passed away. This album is a testament to his guitar skill and blues foundations. These are mostly covers, but they are played with enthusiasm and are solidly within the classic blues tradition. The keyboard work on this album is a delightful addition to Jeff's guitar work. It is a shame that Jeff did not leave us with more Blues focused music. Jeff could play it with the best.
