5 out of 5 stars Wow   October 17, 2008
this is an amazing cd. There are alot of similarities between this cd and the sickness. It is raw and rhythmic at the same time. Disturbed continues to be one of the best rock bands out.

Disturbed is a great band!! Love the album as well. Good songs would be Inside the Fire, The Night, Indestructible and much more. Check it out!

5 out of 5 stars Great New Heavy Metal   October 13, 2008

My nephew recommended this album to me when I was complaining that new Heavy Metal seemed almost dead (except for Godsmack when they manage to release a new album). I gave it a try and was richly rewarded with a really cool album by a group I hope will continue to produce new stuff!

5 out of 5 stars A MUSICAL MASTERPIECE and an ALL-OUT ONSLAUGHT ON THE LISTENER   October 11, 2008
I first wrote a review about this album saying how bad I thought it was. But, that was because I didn't give the album a good enough chance for it to possibly grow on me. After hearing "Indestructible" and "Inside The Fire" about 10 times on the Disturbed website, it finally did. I subsequently deleted that review. This album is an extremely well crafted group of heavy metal compositions that are mindblowing to the listener once the listener "learns" these songs extremely well, 'inside and out'. I finally accomplished this today after hearing the entire album two times back to back on my stereo system, at an awesome loud volume! But, I heard it many other times previously, in my quest at learning and memorizing these songs, which is not an easy task as these songs are very complex. This is most likely Disturbed's best album to date. David pours his whole heart into each and every song on this album. You can hear this while you listen to each song, especially evident is his voice changing a little bit for each song; for the uniqueness of each song; which goes to show how much David Draiman put into these songs, as well as the rest of the band members. I agree with the reviewer T.Gardner that this may well be the best heavy metal album ever made. The instrumentals on this album are sooooooo hard and soooooooo memorable! They're mindblowing. All of these songs are my favorite; There is not one song on this album that can even be considered 'mediocre'; each and every song is absolutely top notch, highest quality songs. But, my 'favorite of favorites' on this album is "The Curse". That style of song from Disturbed is my personal favorite style of song from them. This type of style is evident on their other albums as well, such as in the song "Guarded" from 'Ten Thousand Fists', or "Voices" from 'The Sickness'. If you like heavy metal at all, do yourself a huge favor and buy this album. You will love it and cherish it 'till the day you die. Disturbed will never let their listeners down, which is what I eventually found out. DISTURBED IS FOREVER.

5 out of 5 stars Redemption   October 3, 2008
I've been a disterbed fan from their first cd. Prayer and stricken were good from their other cds, but the rest was nothing special. This new CD Has elevated Disterbed to their music potential. It seems they found a nitch that they should have been in for a long time.
This is one to get.
