STILL LIFE ROCKS! March 10, 2004 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
HELLO, I AM THE BIGGEST ROLLING STONES FAN ON THE PLANET. I LOVE EVERYTHING THEY DO. I'M GOING TO NOW REVIEW THE "STILL LIFE" CD. SONG-BY-SONG REVIEW 1. INTRO No Review 2. UNDER MY THUMB A Great performance of the song. I like how the vibes originally played on the record have been replaced by the Fender Strat (played by Ronnie on most this CD anyway.) "LET'S SPEND THE NIGHT TOGETHER" Taken from the PPV broadcast at the Hampton Coliseum in Hampton Virginia. I love this song because my dad was at the concert and i have it on VHS and DVD (both bootlegs.) Anyway it's a great performance. "SHATTERED" Could be better. "20FLIGHT ROCK" Good but I like the one from the "Let's Spend The Night Together" film. "GOING TO A GO-GO" I love this track. "LET ME GO" Really cool. Alot faster than the record. "TIME IS ON MY SIDE" A slow blusey version of the song. I like it better than the studio recording. "JUST MY IMAGINATION." It's a pretty good track. "START ME UP" I can tell that it was sped up because Mick's voice sounds wrong and I played along with it on a perfectly tuned OPEN G telecaster and the recording was sharp. The reson for it was because they performed it to slow. "SATISFACTION" Best performance. "OUTRO" No Review

As one major Stones fan, I must warn all to STAY AWAY from this one. I can't believe there's one moron in the world who thinks this is a "five star" album. I can think of no one who would even consider this as anything worthy of even the cut-out bin. I can't believe it's still being sold retail! Stay away!!!!
lackluster by standards set in their previous live releases. May 8, 1999 2 out of 4 found this review helpful
This release is substandard when compared to Love You Live, and Ya-Ya's, it seems someone might have been trying to make a quick buck on those not truly familiar with the Stones on stage. Any true fan or purist who appreciates the live delivery of The World's Greatest Rock N'Roll band should not waste his or her time or money on this poor excuse for a live performance.
THE ULTIMATE STONES CONCERT June 24, 1998 1 out of 4 found this review helpful
THIS CD PACKS A REAL PUNCH! THE STONES SOUND GREAT ON ALL SONGS. TWENTY FLIGHT ROCK IS A GREAT DANCE TO SONG. THE COVER OF GOING TO A GO-GO MAKES YOU WANT TO GO TO A GO-GO. THE END IS THE ULTIMATE FINALE. SATISFACTION [THE BEST SONG] SHOWS THAT THE STONES WILL NEVER FADE AWAY(NO PUN). A MUST HAVE FOR ALL ROLLING STONES FANS!!!
