Album Description His second Gospel release, Witness Protection, displays the soulful, soaring voice that has been earning him die-hard fans since 1994. This album shows a much lighter side of Dave that combines an up-tempo R&B sound with a strong gospel message. The ultimate Preacher's Kid (both his parents are preachers), Dave Hollister initially got his break in music as an original member of the platinum-selling R&B group Blackstreet, founded by producer Teddy Riley. Dave left Blackstreet after the release of their first album and went on to pursue a solo career as a singer, songwriter and producer. His solo debut, Ghetto Hymns, was released in 1999 to critical acclaim, as was his sophomore release the following year - Chicago '85... The Movie. After releasing two more albums, Dave returned to his church roots, signing with GospoCentric.

a fan November 24, 2008 I've been a fan of his music since he been in tha game. I own every CD he's made & now he's changed i love his music even more. His songs are sung with so much soul & heart they speak to you if you just listen. This better than his 1st shot @ this side of music. i'm fan & will be a fan for ever.
Not Disappointed November 18, 2008 Being a Dave Hollister fan from his secular days I have learned to appreciate him as a singer and his songs. He didn't disappoint on "Witness Protection" because the songs are very relevant and his voice is still as powerful as ever. God Bless You, Dave Hollister!
Wayyyyyyy better than the first one!!!!! November 5, 2008 I know I've talked about gospel artist trying to sound as secular as possible, but I actually think this album is wayyyyyyyyyyyyyy better than his first one. That first one was horrible! Because this brother came out of the secular music world I can easily excuse his sound. To be honest I think it's good to listen to in the car. There is only one song that really ministers (and sorry I can't think of the name, but it's a slow tempo and it's either the last one or near the end!!)
My favorite CD of 08 October 31, 2008 At first I didn't know what to expect I didn't really care to much for the songs of David but being a true fan of Dave I had to get this one. Jams from beginning to end. More of You, Standing, Church (reminds me of myself, Secret place and Bless Me are my favorites but to tell you the truth it is slamming from beginning to end. Homerun on this one.
td October 29, 2008 I bought this CD because I love Dave Hollister's music. His testimony from the first gospel cd was great concerning his trials in life and overcomming them. This cd is nice.
