holiday music December 28, 2008 Mannheim is always great especially for the holidays. I love listening to this cd along with the others.
One of the best yet December 25, 2008 Every year I wait for the new edition of the Christmas CD to be released. I really enjoyed the version of "Feliz Navidad" or " Fleas on Your Dog " as kids used to call it. The first time I ever heard of this group was on Rush Limbaughs'(sp) talk show. He played it and I called in to find out about where to get the music. Thank you for making Christmas so pleasant. Joyce Nagel

Nice but for devoted fans only. Mannheim has done much better December 12, 2008 I wouldn't say this is all a bad Christmas CD. Several of the songs are wonderful renditions of familiar carols that I wish Mannheim Steamroller had made a long time ago. Songs like "It Came Upon the Midnight Clear" and "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas". But a couple of them get a little too jazzy and tend to veer off their originally intended courses. The main ones of the latter category would be "Let It Snow, Let It Snow, Let It Snow" and (especially) "Frosty the Snowman". Actually, I think "Frosty" is the low-point on the CD and perhaps the most ridiculous version of a Christmas song I've ever heard Mannheim Steamroller perform. I mean not to sound overly critical; it's just that I know they're capable of so much better.
The best Mannheim Steamroller Christmas albums I can recommend are A FRESH AIRE CHRISTMAS (the blue album), CHRISTMAS IN THE AIRE, and CHRISTMAS EXTRAORDINAIRE (the red album), and probably in that order.
Add a little more sparkle to Christams October 19, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
What would wonderful Christmas music be without Mannheim Steamroller. I'm not saying their other albums aren't wonderful; I love them all! Bottom line, this is a must buy. It will give you that warm feeling that Christmas is about.
