Tribe 8 - 'Fist City' (Alternative Tentacle) January 10, 2008 Had totally forgotten about this mid-'90's all-dyke punkcore band. I give this disc three stars because it sounded better than I remember it. Seems to me like this five piece was on the scene for a year and then you never heard anything about them again. Tunes here that sort of did it for me were "Butch In The Streets", "Romeo And Julio". "Femme Bitch Slap" (love that song title) and "Flippersnapper". Line-up: Lynn Breedlove-vocals, Leslie Mah and Lyn Flipper-guitars, Lynn Payne-bass & vocals and Slade-piano & drums. Might possibly appeal to fans of Pansy Division, Fifth Column and Rubber City Rebels.
to sum it up,dykes rule!!! and well, Tribe 8 proves it...... November 14, 1998 5 out of 7 found this review helpful
