NIN rarity! August 2, 2007 This is a great NIN collector's box that was released in 1996, and there were only 1,000 made. Don't listen to the morons who say that it's a "bootleg," it was commercially released in the UK by Phantom records. Just because it wasn't released by the band itself- who cares? Do your homework people! Anywho, it's a great gift for yourself or someone else who is a huge NIN fan!!!!
For the Fans Only: June 10, 2007 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Contrary to what most of the people reviewing this item seem to think, I would say this is worth the price of admission for a couple of reasons.
First of all, less than 1,000 of these were made and they were not manufactured domestically; this is an import and was produced mainly for the fans. Yes, there are no new singles here, but the complete box set comes with the following:
1. The singles listed above. 2. That famed shirt that reads "FIST" on the front and "F&*%" on the back. With less than 1,000 of these ever made, the value increases yearly. 3. Cool plastic/vinyl box that has the same wording as the shirt on it. 4. A Cool badge/pin of NIN 5. And a couple of NIN stickers.
Here are the official solicitation notes on the release from 1995: U.K. import collection of tracks from popular industrial rock group Nine Inch Nails. This 1995 exclusive box set comes complete with special packaging, a collector's t-shirt, badges and EP/CD singles of "Fixed," "Closer," and "March Of The Pigs."
Second, the rarity of the box and its contents alone price it high, but the fact that Trent really didn't authorize its production or have a hand in it makes the value even more worth it. This is NOT a bootleg nor is it illegal to sell, it was originally distributed through Phantom Imports, which is now SuperD Imports, so its license was cleared domestically through the Harry Fox Agency for sale in the US.
It's original retail price when released was in the neighborhood of $199.99 and that was ten years ago, so get it for whatever price you can get it for.
It's cool and lame at the same time, but hey, that's the story of most limited edition items that are released...right? Think about it, if you could have something that less than 1,000 people owned of your favorite band, wouldn't you dish out for it? I would and have on a number of items over my life and I'm glad to have these types of items in my collection.

I was able to aquire everyone of the cd's in this box set (which is not a product released by TR) for way under the price of which i have seen it go for.
Don't buy this March 5, 2007 4 out of 6 found this review helpful
You can find all of these tracks on their seperate releases. It would be cheaper to buy each indivdual CD, or download them from iTunes. ALL of these tracks are availibe, no true rarities. Consists of March of the Pigs (pts 1&2), Fixed, Closer to God (pts 1&2).
BOOTLEG September 29, 2005 10 out of 12 found this review helpful
Please do NOT buy this BOOTLEG! Horrible "extras" and over-priced for imports you can get elsewhere on amazon.
DO NOT BUY!
