Product Description Although it is their first studio album in 8 years, multi-platinum group DRU HILL is reunited to claim all the adoration, curiosity and headlines of the fans who have never forgotten them or their musical legacy. Upon the release of their last album, 2002 Dru World Order, the group disbanded to explore solo careers. But now they are back! And SisQo, Nokio, Jazz, and new member Tao (pronounced Tay-oh), realize that together they equal the perfect blend of soulful R&B, Rock, Hip-Hop, and Romance. This ultra talented foursome is armed to take the industry and the world by storm with sold-out tours and the release of their fourth album InDRUpendence Day which harbored the first single, LOVE M.D., a sexy mid-tempo ballad. InDRUpendence Day is formulated to showcase their growth and individual personalities.

overated comeback!!!! September 1, 2010 kellyz Awful CD...wish I hadnt paid full price for it. Everyone needs to evolve but DRU HILL needs to go back to the R&B they are known for. Album was weak didnt keep my interest. I skipped mostly all songs except for 1. Please do not purchase.
Falling Short August 17, 2010 Adrian Holmes As most people reviewing this release, I have also been a huge Dru Hill fan. I feel this release was rushed more than anything & like most people think this could have been much better. The album starts with it's faster style club tracks which just isn't Dru at it's finest. As the album progresses (Track 9 onwards) the album starts to feel a little more "Dru Hill" so slowing down the beats & singing ballads. I wish I could say I love this album but this has fallen short of expectations & I find myself skipping most tracks to listen too the last half of the album. Although the guys really haven't fallen off to bad as their voices have matured & still have distinct voices. I also feel they could've had much better production as I think all songs are produced by the same person. All in all, this album is, I HATE TO SAY IT. Average! Still worth the buy for any Dru Hill fan adding to their collection.
They're Baaaaaaack! August 14, 2010 Bujoun 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I love this album and im pleased to know "Last Dragon" is on the way too! This album takes a harder edge than the previous one's and I like the change in direction. The style reminds me of something Genuwine was doing back in his day. R&B for thugs! Im a true fan so I dont mind the change and im not going to whine over how it's not like the old stuff. Time to move on. I am so glad Dru Hill is back in action. I have no complaints about the album. Love it love it love it!....
Glad that they're BACK!!!!! August 13, 2010 Terrance Murphy (Memphis, TN) I really enjoyed this album, with the exception of a few songs such as: Whatcha' Do, Below Zero, and Can't Stop! So glad that these brothers are BACK!!! Excellent CD and worthy addition to your collection!!!!
Excited they're back but could've have been better! August 7, 2010 Darnelle Cadet (Brooklyn, NY United States) If you saw Keith Sweat's platinum house, that explains why the album sounds the way it does. They are NOT A GROUP YET!!! Dru Hill has had its share of issues with each other and I was disappointed to see them behaving the way they did on television. But nonetheless, the album seems to be an attempt to blend their own creative styles together. Sisqo, Nokio, Jazz, and Tao, I believe, could have strong career if they stick to the true R&B that made Dru Hill what they are (or were) in the 90s. "Shut it Down" "Away", "State of Emergency" have potential but "Rule" sounds like something Sean Kingston and T-Pain collaborated on. I hope that Dru Hill takes to heart that they have loyal fans who WANT that Smooth-but-Rough R&B sound that's lacking today. Don't hide behind auto tune/voice coder/techno pop beats, please!!
