Great Fantastic Awesome Musical Heaven!!!!! November 11, 2008 My favorite GS album by far - and I adore all the previous ones! So many great songs, such talent, songwriting, presence, this is the best pick-me-up music I've ever heard. How can you be cranky when Scalliwag or Johnny Tarr or Bring Yer Wellies or Don't Go For the One is playing? We saw GS at the Irish festival this summer and have told all of my O'Reilly relatives that the next family reunion is next summer here in Denver at the next festival - Praying that Gaelic Storm is here again then! This is more than 5 stars - I'd rate it 5 Universes!
Cheerful & light-hearted June 20, 2008 AH! This is grand! Grand fun, & fine Irish music. A joy to put in the player! Scalliwag, Me & The Moon, Kelly's Wellies & Don't Go For The One stand out on the album, & any one could liven up a party, & get a bucket of smiles.
Fantastic Entertainers! March 16, 2008 I saw Gaelic Storm live for the first time at the Irish Fair in Pomona, CA and all I can say is that these people are fantastic entertainers! They are really into fan involvement and I have never seen anyone with more facial expressions than Patrick Murphy. This band has a great talent and I highly recommend any and all of their CDs. After seeing them live once, I went back again and again and within a week I owned all of their CDs and was searching the net for the next time they will be coming to town!
There is no one like the Storm...anywhere. March 8, 2008 From the Chieftans to Altan to the Irish Rovers, as fantastic as these bands are, no one quite gets the foot slamming into the floor like Gaelic Storm. Their unique acoustic brand of Irish Folk is the epitome of the genre, and it gets absolutely no better, in my opinion. Their relentless energy, unique compilations and sound make for in incredibly moving listening experience that leaves you smiling despite yourself and full of incredible energy. Who needs an energy drink when you've got Gaelic Storm around? Their traditional compilations are the best versions I've ever heard, while their contemporary originals are so tightly arranged and clever they're likely to become instant classics.
I also highly recommend, if they come anywhere near your town, to jump on the opportunity and see them. I guarantee it'll be an experience that will stay in your soul for the rest of your existence.
Enjoyable February 7, 2008 I got this for my dad, he didn't enjoy it as much I did myself. If you really like traditional Gallic, then this probably not the CD for you.
