| Editorial Reviews:
Product Description 21 tracks from 4 radio broadcasts of 1943 with the underrated and barely recorded Louis Armstrong Orchestra with, of course, Louis on trumpet and vocals. Louis Armstrong left us with an abundance of recored music except for his lack of recordings of his Orchestra of 1943. This release will rectify that. Tracks include: Coquette, Shine, Lazy River, Old Man Mose, On The Sunny Side Of The Street, Harlem Stomp, Ain't Misbehavin', One O'Clock Jump, Slender, Tender And Tall, Leap Frog and many more. All tracks digitally remastered.
Album Details Tracks Included: Fletcher Henderson & His Orchestra-Shanghai Shuffle, Clarence Williams' Blue Five-Texas Moaner Blues, Luis Russell Orchestra-Mahogany Hall Stomp, Les Hite's Orchestra-Shine & More.

Rare but precious May 17, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is indeed a rare Satchmo collection, with some classical and some really odd recordings, with Fletcher Henderson, Luis Russell, Clarence Williams and a host of other (often almost forgotten, sometimes quite forgettable) musicians... Just check out the list of links I attached to this product.
As opposed to the suggestion of the cover art, this is a CD of a young (but already brilliant) Armstrong, and the information in the "booklet" is ridiculously inappropriate for such a serious and precious collection. I guess these tracks are in a public domain now, but if you don't have a better overview of these aspects of Satchmo's carreer (and if the price is reasonable) you should still get it.
