Album Details Tantamount to a greatest hits collection, this disc contains mostly every hit spent time on the charts during the mid 1960's & late 1970's. Features solid interpretations of Chuck Berry's 'Memphis' & 'Maybeline', Brian Wilson's 'Help Me Rhonda', Pete Seeger's 'Where Have All the Flowers Gone?' & many more.

Original by Johnny Rivers March 16, 2008 Well, this sure replaces a few of my 33-1/3 records. The reproduction to the CD is excellent. Brings back a lot of memories to my time in college, long hair, and chicks. He's getting old, too.
Seventh Son October 25, 2007 This is an excellent buy. It has been remastered even though it doesn't say so and the sound is perfect.
I'm 54 and Seventh Son was my song for many years of my youth.
Seriously it put tears in my eyes to hear this song again. I had completely forgotten about it. Too much pot smoking I guess!!
This album runs the gamut of my youth from Seventh Son to Summer Rain, its like growing up again through music.
If your around my age just buy it I guarantee you will remember all of them except for maybe Cupid, which I still don't remember.
Were slow dancing, swaying to the music, slow dancing just me and my girl, no one else in the whole wide world, what an excellent song way to end an album.
30/10
Best album November 3, 2006 This album is one of my favorite in my collection. Johnny Rivers adds life to a song.
Excellent Quality August 15, 2006 11 out of 12 found this review helpful
The remastering on this disk is excellent. The volume, tone balance, and stereo image is consistently good from track to track. Tracks are the same original arrangements you're likely to hear on the radio. If this disk has the tracks you want, buy it. You'll not be dissapointed with the quality of the sound. It's a shame the engineer who did the work isn't listed, he deserves to take a bow.
Great Johnny value July 6, 2006 10 out of 10 found this review helpful
Most of you who are on this page know the work of Johnny Rivers. This means you were a teen in the '60s and have heard all the songs from this album on AM radio. All the cuts are what would be some of his best efforts. My personal favorite is the " Secret Agent " track for the guitar work.
For value I have to say this is a great buy although there are more definitive albums out there. This is a great disc for the Johnny Rivers fan who budgets / scrutinizes their purchases and a great dedication to a great artist and class guy.
