Album Description 2008 soundtrack to the documentary that features the Children Of Agape choir, Paul Simon and Ladysmith Black Mambazo. The film traces the extraordinary three-year journey of the children at the Agape orphanage in South Africa, who form a choir and use their incredible music to help them overcome personal tragedy. Having lost their parents to AIDS at an early age, the children discover the power of their collective voices to strengthen their spirit and inspire others - traveling from the orphanage to New York to raise awareness of the impact of the disease through song. | Customer Reviews:
To love & understand this music, you need to watch the DVD September 5, 2008 This is the music to the HBO Documentary: The children of Agape Choir. The story of the orphanes living at Agape Orphanage and their lives over 3 years. It is a heart warming and at times heart breaking story that takes you on an emotional roller coaster ride. You will laugh and you will cry when you see this story. The music is just wonderful and I love listening to it. The children made this CD to ensure their home could be rebuilt (it burnt down a few years ago) and that they can go to school, eat and have clothes. All proceeds of this CD will go to the Agape Orphanage. So you will not only get some nice music but also do something good for those wonderful kids at Agape. The DVD is also available and I would highly!!!! recommend it too. The title is called We Are Together (2007).
