I'm a huge PVD adict and this CD is vital to any PVD collection. However, if your just a casual listener then you might just want to try and obtain Animacion and Otro Dia through other means as you will probably not appricate the rest of the cd as much.
Bienventura is acutaly on the Reflections CD (great song but might as well just get Reflections)
Another review talks about "Zurdo In Love" which has the same opening as Bienventura but fades into a VERY BRIEF (yet very beautiful) melodic synth (to bad its only 1 min long)
I had hoped to give this cd better reviews as the movie has great music buildup.

5 out of 5 stars About time this was released in the states!!   February 11, 2004

I actually heard the last track, 'Otro Dia', live, at Club Glow in Washington DC where Paul himself was spinning on 12/28/02. It was around 4-5am and he played the track on his first encore..... After dancing for about 5 hours straight to a fantastic set by the genius himself, Paul drops Otro Dia. My GOD. It was a spiritual experience. After being thoroughly exhausted, sore and dehydrated, this beautiful track rose my limp body from the dead, and had me back on the floor, with about 1000 other people going bannanas. This is BY FAR, PvD's best work, and it really speaks to the heart of what this man is all about.

The rest of the CD is a rare Gem. Although not the masterpiece of "Out there and Back", I still give it 5 stars. Track 7, "Zurdo in Love" is so beautiful, although more of a teaser track since it only lasts 1 minute.. I actually let the thing repeat for about 1 hour because it was so nice.. I wrote Paul to ask him to finish this track..

Zurdo is not your typical trance album.. there are a lot of breaks, mellow beats, hard beats.. etc.. it's very diverse and full of surprises.

Buy it.

Wow, I never thought a movie would have a soundtrack like this, PVD does it once again with his a$$ kickin trance, Definitly give this cd 5 stars, you can never go wrong with Paul Van Dyk.

5 out of 5 stars A LITTLE JEWEL FROM PVD   November 9, 2003

This album has a very magical atmosphere, all songs are like spells enchanting the listener. "Te amo" is a slow emotional tune, with charming vocals, voices of playing kids and beautiful piano chords, "buenaventura" remembers me of some early works by PVD with inspired melodies and soft but still pumping beats, "santa Maria" is more misterious and enigmatic, the sounds are dark and spacy, very original, "animacion" is a stunning song with typical PVD beats, whispering vocals and sounds, elusive and entrancing. The album ends with a masterpiece called "otro dia", this is happiness in a song, starts with the sound of a storm and then builds up to the return of sunshine, the strings and melodies are wonderful, it sounds like a cross between "face to face" and "another way", the first time I heard this one I put on the repeat and listened to it 5 times without pause, it gives a true feeling of hope for the future. All the songs are like chapters of a beautiful book, a book titled "PVD'S HEART".
