Repackaged compilation. August 24, 2008 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
In 1993 Motown released a series of low priced Legends audio cassettes and CDs, which included bonus selections on the CD format. This CD one of the two released by Diana Ross & The Supremes, was originally titled "Come See About Me" and besides the title hit cut, included the hits "Stop! In The Name of Love" and "The Happening." The version of "Unchained Melody,' is from The Supremes album "I Hear A Symphony," and "Misery Makes It's Home In My Heart" from their "Reflections,"album. "What Becomes Of The Broken Hearted," first appeared on the album "Let The Sunshine In." The rest of the selections were unreleased tracks that first appeared on their "25th Anniversary," album as was the cover photo. The compilation was re-released and repackaged with the same title, as part of another low priced series called Motown Classics, with the same selections. This compilation is the original Motown Legends compilation with a slipcover that includes liner notes and a very rare photo of The Supremes on The Hollywood Palace performing the classic "Stop! In The Name Of Love." In my review of The Supremes Forever Legends you will note this CD is being released yet another time! So if you are a collector you may want to check to see if you already have this CD, unless you want to purchase it for the rare photo on the slip cover.
