Product Description What are we here for? God created us to Glorify him. So in word, thought, and deed Lecrae's mission is to do simply that. Understanding that Christians live as regenerate (born again) people in an unregenerate (not born again) world, he knows the odds are against him. With no ambitions of being the next big thing or dreams of fame and wealth, Lecrae simply wants to point listeners in the direction of the Cross.

Rebel Review November 17, 2008 Lacrae's hard-hitting lyrics are strong enough to keep your attention, while the beats are just as tight as 106 and Park's top 10. The CD offers a variety of songs that discuss a plethora of topics so it's just not a spun "get your life right" sermon every track. For example, "The Bride" covers the controversial history of the church, and it's role in American society. Other subjects covered are, religious persecution in China, the media, and alcohol abuse. I did not like Gospel music before I heard this CD. I borrowed this CD from a friend and ripped the tracks onto my computer. But after I listened to it, I loved it so much, I went and bought the CD.
Reppin' Christ November 9, 2008 The first Christian hip-hop I heard was "The Cross Movement" I liked it right away, then I went searching for more of the like. Found Lecrae, and his album "Rebel" is so hype.
Lecrae speaks the utter truth!!! November 8, 2008 I bought this album as soon as it came out after hearing "Don't Want to Waste My Life" as a sample track and I will say that is was worth every cent! Lecrae is a perfect example of how you can have rap without all the negative stuff that people attribute to it. On top of the words, which are uplifting and able to communicate the message of God's word, the beats are straight bananas!! Plus, he has collaborations with guests like Da Truth, Trip Lee, Cam, and Sho Baraka. Lecrae if definitely a Rebel "with a cause"! Buy this album and see for yourself!!

No way lecrae makes a better CD than "real talk" and "after the music" stops, oh, wait he just did! I thought every song was dominate. The intro was my favorite song! I'm not ashamed to say its the best CD ever.
The Best Christian Rap Album Yet! Simply Awesome... October 30, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have been listening to Lecrae since his very first album, before Trip Lee and Tedashi even had their first CD's out, this is by far the best one they have produced. Not that any of the previous were bad.
My favorite songs in order plus rating out of 5 stars: 1. Dont Waste your Life (5 stars) 2. Change (5) 3. Got Paper (5) 4. Fall Back (5) 5. Go Hard (5) 6. Rebel Intro (what a great intro!!) (4.5) 7. Identity (4) 8. I'm a Saint (4) 9. Breathing to Death (3.5) 10. Desperate (3.5) 10. The Bride (3.5) 11. Live Free (3) 12. Truth (3)
Songs I didn't really care for: 1. Beautiful Feet (1 star)(Just wasn't feeling it) 2. Indwelling Sin (2 stars)(This could have been a great song, but for some reason I just dont like the flow of it...plus it seems like Lecrae copied Knine's "Interview With The Devil", which I do like.
With this many good songs, this CD is a must buy!
