Editorial Reviews:

If you've been operating under the impression that songs with the word "bloody" in the title can't make for good lullabies, guess again: given the Baby Rock treatment, "Sunday Bloody Sunday" sounds infant-tested, sandman-approved. And, more important, not even the tiniest bit absurd. With their glockenspiels, vibraphones, and mellotrons, the Baby Rock magicians have spun sweetness and a soothing vibe into everything from "Smells Like Teen Spirit" to "Stairway to Heaven"; given the unthinkable nature of those undertakings, this one seems almost too easy. "All I Want is You" is a little on the snuggly side to begin with, after all, and so is "The Sweetest Thing." No matter how high the bar is set, what's consistent about this series is its knack for getting eyelids to drooping and rock fans to chuckling: Bono and the Sandman make for strange bedfellows, but entertaining ones. --Tammy La Gorce

Album Description
Rockabye Baby! transforms timeless rock songs into beautiful instrumental lullabies. The soothing sounds of the glockenspiel, vibraphone, mellotron and other instruments will lull your baby into a sweet slumber. If it's timeless you're looking for, you don't have to look much further than Ireland's legendary heroes U2. Their cascading melodies and soundscapes are a perfect foundation for these heavenly lullabies. Introducing your little one to this unforgettable music is the sweetest thing you can do.

3 out of 5 stars Good, but not great   November 16, 2008
I fell in love with the Coldplay Rockabye Baby! CD and thought the U2 would be as good. It's not; it's decent but not spectacular. Die hard U2 fans might really enjoy this more than a casual fan like myself.

5 out of 5 stars Great for babies and their parents!   September 8, 2008
Love these cds!! Great music for babies and songs their parents already know and love!

This CD is one of my top baby items. My son is 10 months old and we've been using it as part of our bedtime routine pretty much since he came home. As soon as he hears the CD he knows it's time for bed. One night I tried a different CD and my he wouldn't go to sleep! I highly recommend this CD or any of the Rockabye Baby collection.

I heard the Rockabye Baby CD of ColdPlay at a store recently and loved it. I bought the U2 CD because I love U2 and thought I'd like it even more than the ColdPlay one. It sounds all the same and the music is very "tinkly". I would not suggest it.
