Product Description Following seven years of near solid touring, Muse escalated from being the biggest band in Teignmouth in 1997 to one of the biggest bands in Europe by 2004. With each successive album, they pushed the musical envelope with a fusion of progressive rock, electronica, and Radiohead-influenced experimentation, creating an emotive, passionate sound. Muse's reputation as one of the best live rock bands in the world is well deserved with their exhilirating live performances drewing critical acclaim, industry buzz, and a loyal and rabid fan base.
Album Description 2009 album from the acclaimed British Alt-Rock trio. In terms of sound and sonic vision, The Resistance is their most ambitious long-player yet, which is clearly saying something. They have blown up the robo-Funk/monster riff/stadium Space Rock sound of Black Holes and widened their viewfinder even further to take in an even greater horizon of sound. For Muse, reverting to a successful template would be simply meaningless.

Creepy, yet excellent July 20, 2010 Yosef Simen Muse has made yet another really interesting album. Nice, strong melodies, good rhythms, the kind of sound that makes your hair stand up, and fairly creepy lyrics that sound like they're derived from George Orwell's "1984". If you can't buy this, at least borrow it from a friend. It's totally worth it.
Queen + Radiohead = Suckage July 2, 2010 Jett Bailey (Sunny South Florida) 2 out of 6 found this review helpful
It's like Queen and Radiohead gave birth to a drooling, half-wit love child. Pretentious, derivative, over-engineered dreck.

lovely, lovely, lovely. i love it from the beginning to the ending. it has so many musical elements- which isn't unheard of from Muse- and the lyrics are empowering. just to name a few: 'uprising' reminds of my "protesting" days (past and present); 'resistance' is definitely '1984'-ish; 'united states of eurasia' is vastly past due (especially with all the S*** going on in this world); 'mk ultra' is extraordinary (both musically and emotionally); 'i belong to you' is groovy, and 'exogenesis" parts 1-3' is awe-inspiring. if you haven't noticed by now-i truly recommend this album.
"The Resistance"....of the Illuminati perhaps? June 26, 2010 Christina (Philadelphia, PA USA) If you're aware of the Illuminati, then you obviously noticed the blatant imagery of this album as well as the symbolic song titles. I won't go any further...but I have to say that these guys must be very passionate about this subject.
